Factories moved to areas outside cities because they were noisy and polluting. But now, many factories are cleaner and could have a new place in the urban environment. Moving them back into the city would provide a "higher quality of life",by allowing employees to walk to work rather than commute in cars. Urban factories would be closer to populations of skilled workers, suppliers and technical and research centers.
This is the vision we have for the cities of tomorrow, factories will be dissolved into small pieces and then be stacked together into highrise vertical factories. By bringing factories back to the city, we can also achieve zero CO2-emissions, energy-efficient and resource-efficient.

Due to the large population in Manila, a great amount of organic waste are produced every day in the city. They will be the resource of the new vertical factory. All the waste will be dumped at the bottom level of the amalgamated factory, through a comprehensive process, then they will be transformed into valuable products like water, soil, fertilizer, heat, electricity, etc.

People tend to separate factory, nature and city. But with the human population increasing and urban context overspreading, instead of relocating the factories further away from the nature and city, we have to rethink the relations between them. Here we are highlighting the large amount of waste we produce everyday which are decompressed anaerobically and creates methane, a greanhouse gas that is 21 times more harmful than carbon dioxide. Input nowadays 97% of waste ends up in landfills to generate products like water, soil, fertilizer and energy is needed during the process. By inviting various forms of landscape, we then make it a circulated system. The main concept is to let people be aware of the truth that factories run as an important component in natural and urban resources cycle, even factories are part of the nature and city as well, everything we produce will form the new world. Instead of criticizing the pollution problem we want the most ideal way for people to understand the interaction between human, nature and factory.
